Program Overview

Offered in collaboration between NDSU's AACSB-accredited College of Business (Department of Transportation, Logistics, and Finance) and the Upper Great Plains Transportation Institute (UGPTI), the MSCM takes an interdisciplinary approach to supply chain, logistics, and transportation to attract students with a multitude of backgrounds. The program prepares aspiring supply chain professionals, industry professionals, military officers and Department of Defense civilians who want to meet all the supply chain challenges of the 21st century for a wide range of career opportunities in the logistics industry, such as:

  • supply chain manager
  • logistics manager
  • warehouse/distribution manager
  • business process improvement analyst

In addition to the master's degree program, we also offer online graduate certificates in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and in Supply Chain Management (SCM).

MSCM Curriculum

The MSCM program consists of 30 total credits—15 core credits and 15 elective credits. The core courses cover topics such global supply chain management, supply chain decision analysis, and transportation and distribution. Electives may be selected from areas such as enterprise systems, data analytics, procurement and sourcing, financing, organizational leadership, and more. All courses are delivered in an online asynchronous format.

All applicants must demonstrate proof of English proficiency in order to be considered for graduate admission.

Proof of English proficiency must be demonstrated in one or more of three ways:
Applicant was raised in a country in which English is the only official language
Applicant has earned a bachelor's degree or higher from a recognized institution within a country in which English is the only official language
Applicant submits an official English language test score—TOEFL iBT; 71 or higher; IELTS academic 6.0 or higher; PTE academic 50 or higher; or Duolingo 105 or higher (must not be expired)

Cost

All MSCM students are charged the North Dakota in-state graduate business differential tuition rate, regardless of their residency.

The cost of tuition and fees is $746.82 per credit, or approximately $22,405 for the full 30-credit program.
