Jeremy Straub is a fellow at the Challey Institute for Global Innovation and Growth and an associate professor of computer science at North Dakota State University. His research focuses on the intersections between technology and policy in both the artificial intelligence and cybersecurity areas. He is the lead inventor on two U.S. patents and has published over 50 journal articles and hundreds of conference papers. He is a member of multiple professional societies, including the American Society for Engineering Education and SPIE. His work has been supported by the National Science Foundation, the National Security Agency, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration and other sources. He is the associate director of the Institute for Cyber Security Education and Research.

Carol Archbold is a fellow at the Challey Institute for Global Innovation and Growth and professor of criminal justice at North Dakota State University. Her research examines police accountability, police liability and misconduct, the use of risk management in police agencies, and women in policing.  Her research has been published in a variety of policing and criminal justice journals. Dr. Archbold has authored or co-authored five books centered on policing issues.  She is a member of the editorial boards for two policing journals: Police Quarterly and Policing: An International Journal.  She is currently Chair of the Executive Board for the American Society of Criminology – Division of Policing.  

Ranjit Godavarthy is a fellow at the Challey Institute for Global Innovation and Growth and an associate professor of transportation and logistics at North Dakota State University. His research focuses on improving mobility in rural and small urban areas in the United States. His research areas include transit services in rural and small urban areas, shared-use mobility opportunities in rural communities, mobility on demand, community livability, and other rural transportation issues. His work has been published in journals such as Transportation Research Part A: Policy and Practice, Transportation Research Record, Journal of Public Transportation, etc., He teaches transportation and supply chain management courses at Undergraduate, Master’s and Ph.D. levels.

Yongtao (David) Hong is a fellow at the Challey Institute for Global Innovation and Growth and professor of accounting at North Dakota State University. His research examines how financial accounting information contributes to business development and explores the factors that may affect the quality of financial accounting information. These factors include international accounting standards and regulations, earnings management incentives and techniques, managerial ability, business ethics, CEO compensation, and internal and external corporate governance structures. His work has been published in a number of accounting, finance and business journals, such as the Journal of Accounting and Public Policy, Financial Management, Journal of Business Ethics, and others. 

Chau Le is a fellow at the Challey Institute for Global Innovation and Growth and an assistant professor of civil, construction and environmental engineering at North Dakota State University. His research focuses on construction and infrastructure management, human safety and health, and applied data analytics and artificial intelligence. Over the past five years, he has published over 30 technical papers, many of which have received prestigious awards such as the ASCE Editor's Choice Paper (three times), Featured Paper by ASCE, ICCEPM 2022's Best Paper Award, and TRB 2023's Best Poster Award. He also received the 2022 Outstanding Reviewer for the ASCE Journal of Management in Engineering.

Andrea Smith is a fellow at the Challey Institute for Global Innovation and Growth and a senior lecturer of business law at North Dakota State University. She is a former Assistant State’s Attorney, Special Assistant Attorney General, Alternate Fargo Municipal Court Judge, and private practitioner. Some of her practice areas include business law, insurance law, real estate law, and family law. She is a qualified mediator and guardian ad litem. She teaches The Legal Environment of Business and Business Law in the Department of Management and Marketing and is a faculty adviser for College of Business student interns.
