Agenda

Bi-weekly meetings are organized to inform members and faculty of current and upcoming club and department events. Meetings may include presentations from industry representatives, department faculty or students. Our meetings that do not include a speaker focus on planning events, getting committee updates, and socializing between students and any faculty in attendance.

Minutes

The minutes from the above-mentioned meeting agenda is then stored both in an electronic file by the secretary and president and as a hard copy in a club folder for convenient member access. This minutes allow us to look back at exactly what was accomplished during our meeting, who signed up for events, and remind us of issues we need to bring up in future meetings. The minutes of each meeting are also posted on our branch website.

Program Content

Our program goes well beyond just the business meeting items. Through volunteering, club outings, and guest speakers we reach out in such a way that every member can interact and benefit from being a part of ASABE. Guest and student speakers are a lifeblood to the NDSU ASABE Branch, making sure that we reach out to industry well in advance ensures our members will get a chance to meet potential employers or enjoy fascinating talks. By connecting our members with a variety of speakers in different industries, we give our members the opportunity to explore all the options the ABEN degree has to offer. On multiple occasions, our club has invited alumni from our department to present on their current career. Some of our speakers have included:

  • Archer Daniels Midland
  • Ardent Mills
  • Bobcat
  • Cargill
  • Cavendish Farms
  • John Deere
  • Seneca Foods
  • Red River Valley ASABE Branch
