Leadership Awareness Weekend (LAW) 2025

Leadership Awareness Weekend (LAW) is back at the North Dakota State Capitol!  Register soon to reserve your spot for this exciting event that allows you to meet and interact with ND Legislators and have hands-on experiences with our state government.  LAW prepares you to use your voice to make a difference. LAW is for any youth in grades 7 - 12 who are interested in civic engagement and the political process.    

Dates and Locations

January 19 1:00 - 6:00 p.m. CST at the Burleigh County Extension Office
January 20 8:15 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. CST at the North Dakota State Capital Building
(You must attend both days)

Register through 4-H Online
 

Cost

$50 (includes shirt, event materials, snacks, and lunch on Monday)  
 

Housing

Overnight stay is on your own. For your convenience a block of hotel rooms have been reserved at a special rate.  Youth must stay overnight with a responsible adult.
