Animal Sciences Lecturer Helps Out at Tractor Safety Camp
Earlier this summer NDSU Extension held a Tractor Safety Camp. During this camp Blaine Novak, Animal Sciences Department Lecturer, had the campers work through a "risk ranch" activity to help them identify potential hazards and best practices when handling livestock. They had the opportunity to learn the importance of effective communication, animal behavior, and stress responses while also practicing their sheep handling skills. It was a great hands-on learning experience for all the campers.
