Description
The Service Center, Pilot Plant was completed in 1991. Originally known as Consolidated Facilities, the Service Center provides maintenance, repair and fabrication of equipment used for plant and animal research. Service Center staff also provide maintenance and construction support for all Agricultural Experiment Station facilities. The Pilot Plant contains laboratory space dedicated to research in renewable fuels, biobased industrial products, cereal and food sciences, and bioprocess engineering. The pilot plant houses wet labs for the departments of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering and Cereal and Food Sciences.
