About the Gunlogson Fund

The G. B. Gunlogson Endowment Fund for the Institute for Regional Studies serves as a source of funds to:
- Support the publications and archives of the Institute for Regional Studies.
- Advance general university outreach through Institute-related activities.
- Enhance NDSU’s land-grant mission through Institute projects that preserve the cultural heritage of North Dakota.
By means of a generous donation of $200,000 in December 1995, an annual amount of funds are made available to fund the above-named aspirations. The deans of the College of Arts and Sciences and the NDSU Libraries oversee the fund by joint agreement on expenditures.
The Gunlogson Endowment Fund solicits proposals annually for funds of up to $5,000 to support research and creative activity related to the fund’s purposes. Up to three awards are made each year.
