Accounting is the analysis, interpretation, and communication of financial information about the resources of an organization and the use of those resources. The accounting major prepares students for entry-level positions in managerial, corporate, government, and forensic accounting.
Students who want to pursue public accounting should consider staying at NDSU to complete their Master of Accountancy (MAcc) degree. To sit for the North Dakota certified public accountant professional examination, individuals must complete 150 semester hours of education, which can be accomplished through completion of the MAcc program.Students should consult their faculty advisor for further details.
