Sydney Schad, MPH
AIPHRC Operations Manager
Sydney Schad, Mnicoujou & Hunkpapa Lakota, is proud to call the Cheyenne River Lakota Reservation home. She serves as the Operations Manager for the American Indian Public Health Resource Center housed at North Dakota State University. Sydney received her Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences with emphasis in Public Health and Health Services Administration from the University of South Dakota and Master of Public Health with a Certificate in Child, Youth, and Family Health from Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health.
Sydney is passionate about public health, but especially in the realms of justice, equity, and accessibility. She credits her passion and skills for this work to her family, mentors, peers, and the generations who have come before her and to come after.
When Sydney is not working, she enjoys spending time with her dog, a sweet golden named Tanner. She also spends her time sewing big auntie jackets and free patterns she finds online. Sydney also enjoys traveling to new places, trying new foods, and meeting new people—which she says is one of the best parts of her job.
