Vaccines aren’t just for patients – protecting healthcare workers means protecting everyone. In this webinar, Dr. Paul Carson will break down the CDC’s latest vaccine recommendations for healthcare workers, highlight how immunization helps stop the spread of disease in healthcare settings, and dive into the hot topic of vaccine mandates – what works, what’s challenging, and why it matters.
In this webinar, Dr. Carson will:
- List the current CDC-recommended immunizations for healthcare workers.
- Explain the importance of healthcare worker vaccination in reducing disease transmission, protecting vulnerable patients, and maintaining workforce health.
- Identify the potential benefits and challenges of implementing vaccine mandates for healthcare workers.
Paul Carson, MD, FACP, is an infectious disease physician with over 30 years of clinical experience. He is currently an Emeritus Professor of Practice at the North Dakota State University Department of Public Health, where he founded and previously served as the Medical Director for the Center for Immunization Research and Education (CIRE). He is also a Professor at the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences. He has held many roles within Sanford Health, including Chair of the Department of Infectious Diseases, Director of Clinical Research, and Chief Quality Officer.
