This free, four-part online video training module is designed to boost clinicians’ confidence addressing vaccine hesitancy in the medical encounter using motivational interviewing strategies. Participants can earn one continuing education credit when they've completed the modules.

An avatar version of Dr. Mary Larson will introduce viewers to several communication strategies rooted in motivational interviewing (MI) through four videos, each about 10-15 minutes long.

Mary Larson, PhD, MPH, RD, CDE, CHES, is an associate professor at North Dakota State University in the Department of Public Health. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Biology, Health and Fitness at Gustavus Adolphus College in 1988, her Master of Public Health from the University of Minnesota in 1996, and Doctor of Philosophy in Foundations of Education and Research, Research Methodologies from the University of North Dakota in 2008. She is certified as a registered dietitian, diabetes educator, and health education specialist. She is a member of the Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers.
