education administration, was with Arthur Farmers Elevator/Arthur Companies where he held several positions, including general manager, vice president and board member. He also was vice president of Interstate Seed and Grain, a board member for Great Plains Software and St. Luke’s Hospital and a sales associate with Braaten and Qualey Real Estate. A former state legislator, he also served on the State Board of Higher Education. He and his wife, Norma, have been major contributors to the NDSU Development Foundation for such projects as the Peltier Endowment for Innovation in Teaching, Don Larew Scholarship, Jessamine Slaughter Burgum Scholarship and Joe Peltier Scholarship for Risk Management. He lived in Fargo.
