home economics, served on the Arthur, N.D., school board for 15 years and was president for several years. Called the “Welcome Lady of Arthur,” she was a board member of St. Luke’s (Sanford) Hospital Auxiliary, Cass County School Officers Association and the Homemakers Club Council. She was on the NDSU Alumni Association board and was a life trustee for the NDSU Development Foundation. She was awarded the NDSU Alumni Achievement Award in 1981. She lived in Arthur.
