general agriculture, was the owner of Piepkorns Inc. and started Peplawn Corp. in 1984. He was co-owner of Valley Chemical Laboratories in Fargo from 1970 until 1990. He was a 60-year member of the American Legion. He lived in Moorhead, Minnesota.
