civil engineering, worked with the family-owned Central Sales Inc., an Allis-Chalmers dealership, in Jamestown, North Dakota, with his father and brothers. He retired as president and general manager after working for the company for 38 years. He was an official in the Lions Club, Chamber of Commerce and North American Equipment Dealers Association. In 2013, he received the Jamestown Citizen Award. He lived in Jamestown.
