mechanical engineering, taught engineering and physics during a career in higher education. He taught at NDSU; Ross-Hulman College, Terra Haute, Indiana; and Loras College, Dubuque, Iowa. While in Indiana, he purchased a Main Street brick building and renovated it for a youth center. He was chair of the Faculty Scholarship Committee at Loras College. He lived in Dubuque.
