Bismarck Hospital School of Nursing, was in the U.S. Army Nurse Corps and served in the Pacific Theater. Upon discharge, she worked as a nurse in Milton, West Virginia; Washington, D.C.; and Fargo. During her later years, she volunteered for Hospice of the Red River Valley and Shepherd's Christian Preschool. She lived in Fargo.
