mechanical engineering, retired from Delta Air Lines as a captain. During his 36-year career, he amassed more than 22,000 flight hours. He served as flight engineer on the B-727 and copilot on the DC-9, B-737, B-757 and B-767. He was promoted to captain in 1990 on the MD-88 and retired as a lead line check pilot on the 767-400. He lives in Covington, Georgia.
