A former Bison quarterback and U.S. Marine, his career included positions at Dravo Corp., Pittsburgh; Merck, Sharp and Dohme Pharmaceutical Corp., Blue Bell, Pennsylvania; Control Data Corp.; Northern Telecom; Lutheran Brotherhood: and Thrivent, Minneapolis. He coached in 10 consecutive junior football city championships and also coached Gold Division hockey in Edina, Minnesota. He lived in Edina.
