agricultural engineering, was a professor of agricultural engineering at South Dakota State University in Brookings from 1955-78. He left the university to be a design engineer for Red River Distributing in Crookston, Minnesota, where he designed an air seeding system. He later was a project leader for the United Nations' Food and Agricultural Organization in Cairo, Egypt, and managed a golf course in Volga, South Dakota. He lived in Volga.
