Student-athletes named to academic all-district team

The College Sports Information Directors of America voted NDSU sophomores A.J. Jacobson and Paul Miller to the Academic All-District men's basketball team. The announcement was made Feb. 11.

NDSU joins Iowa, New Mexico, Belmont and College of Charleston as the only five schools in the nation with two Academic All-District honorees.
Jacobson, from Fargo, and Miller, from Waukesha, Wisconsin, will advance to the national ballot for Academic All-America honors to be announced later this month.

To be eligible for consideration, a student-athlete must be a starter or key reserve, maintain a cumulative grade-point average of 3.30 on a scale of 4.00 and have reached sophomore athletic and academic standing at his current institution.

Jacobson has a 3.99 cumulative GPA with a zoology/pre-dentistry major. Miller has a 3.82 cumulative GPA with a major in accounting.
