owned S&S Construction Co. in Moorhead, Minnesota; F-M Asphalt of Dilworth, Minnesota; and Lakes Paving in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota. He later purchased the Rivera Heights Mobile Home Park in Fargo and the Treetop Restaurant in Moorhead. He was an NDSU Foundation Life Trustee. He lived in Fort Collins, Colorado.
