general agriculture, was the NDSU Extension county agent for Steele County for 25 years. He previously was assistant county agent in Pembina County and interim county agent for Towner County. He received the National Association of Agricultural Agents Distinguished Service Award in 1989, NDSU Alumni Association Outstanding Agriculturalist of the Year Award in 1996 and induction into the North Dakota Agriculture Hall of Fame in 2004.He lived in Devils Lake, North Dakota.
