civil engineering, received the Dr. L.I. Hewes Award from the Western Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials. The honor recognizes outstanding contributions to the highway development program and is presented to a person actively engaged in highway development. He is a transportation engineer for the North Dakota Department of Transportation in Bismarck.
