industrial engineering, worked in the news department of the Forum of Fargo-Moorhead for 48 years.When he retired in 2000, he was associate editor and outdoors editor, managing newsroom departments and covering the outdoors stories in the Upper Midwest and Canada. He received numerous news and outdoors coverage awards, and was named Lake Agassiz Kiwanis Sports Person of the Year in 1992. He was a former member of the Air National Guard and lived in Fargo.
