civil engineering, was an engineer primarily at Exxon during his career. Among his projects, he was manager for a joint project with Shell, designing and retrofitting tanker ships to off-load crude oil from a fixed deep sea oil platform in the North Sea. He held several patents and also taught at the University of Houston and Texas A&M University. He lived in Spring, Texas.
