electrical and electronic engineering, was a division engineer with Northern States Power Co. (now Xcel Energy) in Fargo and St. Paul, Minnesota. He worked for the company for 42 years. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and later, as a member of the North Dakota Air National Guard, he served during the Korean Conflict. His military honors included the European Theater Combat Ribbon with three battle stars, a Bronze Star with Oak Leaf Cluster and the Combat Infantryman Badge. He lived in Walker, Minnesota.
