agricultural education, was a retired lieutenant colonel in the U.S. Army. His 33-year military career included tours in Germany, Vietnam, Virginia, Iowa and Missouri. During the Vietnam War, he received the Bronze Star Medal. He lived in Cedar Park, Texas.
