counseling and guidance, taught English and German to junior and senior high students in the Mandan, North Dakota, school district for 41 years. She loved to travel and took more than 30 trips to Europe. She also organized summer study trips to Germany, Austria and Switzerland for her German language students. She lived in Bismarck, North Dakota.
