was a founding member and first president of the University of North Dakota Indian Association. He later was a tribal planner at Standing Rock was named president of United Tribes Technical College. He was the first full-time executive director of the American Indian Higher Education Consortium, headquartered in Denver. In addition, he served on the U.S. Department of Labor’s Native American Employment and Training Council for nearly 30 years, and he was appointed to the North Dakota Workforce Development Council and the North Dakota Commission on National and Community Service. He lived in Mandan, North Dakota.
