mathematics, retired in 1993 as chair of Washburn University’s Department of Mathematics, Statistics and Computer Information. He was a member of the university’s faculty for 26 years. He was active in the Kansas Mathematical Association of America, serving one year as president and three years as a governor of the organization. In retirement, he volunteered for AARP’s Tax-Aide for 25 years. He lived in Topeka, Kansas.
