agronomy, MS ’73, botany, worked as a soil conservationist and range conservationist for the USDA Soil Conservation Service at Mott, Dickinson, Mandan and Bismarck, North Dakota. Later, he was a reclamation specialist with BNI Coal Ltd. and a range management consultant with Western Plains Consulting, Bismarck. He was an Army veteran who served a one-year tour in Vietnam with the 44th Medical Brigade. He lived in Bismarck.
