He was named executive secretary for the North Dakota Soil Conservation Committee and then appointed executive vice president of the North Dakota Association of Soil Conservation Districts/Lincoln-Oakes Nurseries at Bismarck and Oakes, North Dakota. He was an Army veteran who lived in Bismarck.
