industrial engineering, worked for Micro Switch, a division of Honeywell, for 30 years. He worked on the switches for the Mercury, Gemini and Apollo space capsules for NASA. Near retirement, he earned his private pilot’s license and later worked for airports in Flagstaff and Phoenix and Southwest Airlines. He was a member of the Air National Guard and lived in Freeport, Illinois.
