An active leader in the packaging machinery industry, he was president of two associations—the Packaging Machinery Manufacturers Institute and the Flexible Packaging Association. The FPA inducted him into its Hall of Fame. He was an Air Force veteran who lived in West Palm Beach, Florida, and Westport, Massachusetts.
