agronomy, botany; PhD ’70, plant pathology, worked at the Northern Great Plains Research Center in Mandan, North Dakota. He wrote more than 40 technical and popular publications and served as director of the research center and technical adviser for the Northern Great Plains and Alaska. After retirement, he worked with NDSU and the governor's task force to further the eradication of invasive plant species. He was a Navy veteran who lived Bismarck, North Dakota.
