chemistry, was a private practice neurologist affiliated with several Front Range hospitals, helping patients across Colorado. He was active in his profession, leading the Colorado Society of Clinical Neurologists, serving in the American Academy of Neurology and as president of the National Stroke Association. He was a fellow of the American Academy of Neurology. He also taught at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center for 15 years, and at the University of North Carolina for six years. He was a Navy veteran who lived in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
