physical education, was a bar owner and operator before retiring in 2008. He was an All-American linebacker for the Bison who was inducted into the Bison Athletic Hall of Fame as an individual in 1989 and was again in 2005 with the 1965 national championship team. He lived in Bismarck, North Dakota.
