civil engineering, worked for the Kansas Highway Commission early in his career. He later was branch manager of a testing and materials lab for Twin City Testing, Eau Claire, Wisconsin, and in 1978 he was transferred in 1978 to Bismarck, North Dakota, where he managed labs throughout the state. He next opened and managed labs for Braun Intertec, and later opened his own firm, Arman Engineering Testing Ltd. He was appointed to the North Dakota Board of Registration for Engineers and Land Surveyors. In 2007, he received the North Dakota Society of Professional Engineers’ Elwyn F. Chandler Award for his contributions to the engineering profession. He lived in River Falls, Wisconsin.
