civil engineering, was a co-founder of Moore Engineering. He was a member of the North Dakota House of Representatives from 1981-1987, and was later appointed state director of the Farmers’ Home Administration. In 1997, he was named Man of the year by the American Society of Highway Engineers. In 2000, he received the Elwyn F. Chandler Award from the National Society of Professional Engineers. He was a fighter pilot in the Air Force and later served in the National Guard and Reserve Officers Association. He lived in Bismarck, North Dakota.
