He then worked for Great Plains Wheat, Washington, D.C.; U.S. Feed Grains Council in Rome and Rotterdam; Greater North Dakota Association; and Steiger Tractor, Fargo. He then started his own export marketing company, International Marketing Systems. He was an Army Air Corps veteran who served during World War II. He lived in Fargo.
