agronomy, honorary doctorate ’03, established Grain BioTech Australia in Perth after 22 years with Pioneer Hi-Bred International Inc., where he was worldwide director of field crops research. He established major wheat genetic research programs in North America, Europe, Africa and Australia, in addition to satellite operations in other countries. He participated in the development and release of 60 wheat varieties, seven barley varieties and one oat variety. He was a fellow of the Crop Science Society of America. He lived in Perth, Australia.
