civil engineering, was a registered professional engineer in North Dakota and Minnesota. He was city engineer in Wahpeton, North Dakota, and helped lead the community’s fight against the floods of 1989 and 1997. He was a past exalted ruler of the Wahpeton Elks, a member of the American Legion, a past president of North Dakota American Public Works Association and he received "Outstanding City Employee" recognition from the North Dakota League of Cities. He lived in Alexandria, Minnesota.
