electrical and electronic engineering, was a civil engineer at Minot Air Force Base and for the Army Corps of Engineers. In addition, he worked as a registered professional engineer for several contractors on various independent projects. He was elected to the North Dakota House of Representatives in 1992 and served District 40 for 24 years until 2016. He was an Air Force veteran who lived in Minot, North Dakota.
