home economics, taught home economics in Bowman, North Dakota, and managed the food service department at the State Industrial School in Mandan, North Dakota. She and her husband owned and operated the Chateau Inn Pancake House in Bismarck, North Dakota, for 13 years.  Later, she worked for OMF in Bismarck and Dayton’s in Minneapolis. She lived in Bismarck.
