The problem as described below is a semi-known problem.  It is documented to be a problem with our speaking URLs (e.g. http://www.its.ndsu.edu/help instead of http://www.its.ndsu.edu/index.php?id=1000 ).  To compensate, a graphic has been inserted on the TYPO3 error page to better identify this as an NDSU page.  Further customizations can be made by overwriting file t3lib/class.t3lib_timetrack.php, specifically to the debug_typo3PrintError function beginning at line 561.  Suggestions for design are welcomed.

It appears that error handling causes some troubles in the offline workspaces.  At such a time as a fix is discovered, error handling will be re-enabled.

Only for www.its.ndsu.edu, I configured error document handling.  This means that if a link directs to a www.its.ndsu.edupage that does not exist in TYPO3, the page http://www.its.ndsu.edu/error_404 will be displayed.
