Transfer Student Scholarships
NDSU is pleased to recognize transfer students who have demonstrated high academic achievement at the collegiate level. Applicants must be either a U.S. citizen with a Social Security Number or a permanent resident, and have 24 transferable, graded credits. You are encouraged to apply for NDSU scholarships if you have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 from each institution previously attended.
Cultural Diversity Tuition Waiver
The Cultural Diversity Tuition Waiver is available to a limited number of qualified students. The program promotes diversity through sharing cultural experiences in a diverse campus setting.
Minnesota Reciprocity
An agreement between North Dakota and Minnesota makes students eligible for tuition comparable to resident tuition. Students who graduate from a Minnesota high school and enroll at NDSU within 12 months automatically qualify for reciprocity. No paperwork is necessary. If you plan to attend NDSU more than 12 months following high school graduation, complete the application online.
More information on reciprocity is available from the Office of Registration & Records.
Tuition Exchange Programs
Legal residents of states that participate in tuition exchange programs or who reside in a contiguous Canadian province are eligible for adjusted tuition at NDSU. Students from participating states/provinces qualify for the reduced tuition rate by indicating their legal state/province of residence on the Application for Admission.
Alumni Dependents
Children and spouses of North Dakota college and university graduates may be eligible for reduced tuition at NDSU. New undergraduate students, who are not North Dakota, Minnesota, Montana or South Dakota residents, are eligible for a tuition rate equal to the Montana/South Dakota resident rate.
Employee Family Discount
Spouses and dependents of NDSU employees may be eligible for a tuition discount equal to one-half of the tuition for NDSU classes. Please contact the Office of Human Resources to complete the paperwork at least 30 days prior to the beginning of the term.
