Welcome to NDSU Dining, we are so excited to serve you! We have a variety of meal plan options for first-year students that will keep you fueled up for success.
2024/2025 Meal Plan Options
Unlimited Access Meal Plans
Unlimited meal plans allow students to pop into any of our dining centers as many times as they want. With an Unlimited Plan, students do not have to keep track of meal swipes and enjoy the flexibility to grab snacks, meals, or coffee anytime they want. All first-year students living on campus are required to have a five- or seven-day unlimited access meal plan.
Seven-day Meal Plan - $2,689.00/semester
Unlimited access Monday – Sunday
7 guest passes | 3 to-go meals per day (one per meal period)
Five-day Meal Plan - $2,392.00/semester
Unlimited access Monday – Friday
3 guest passes | 3 to-go meals per day (one per meal period)
Spring 2025 Meal Plan Changes
The Union Dining Center will close on December 20, 2024 for a complete redesign and renovation. The space will reopen next fall as the Union Market, the newest addition to NDSU’s food court. With the UDC closure, Burgum, Churchill, and Dinan residents will receive NEW meal plan perks and enhancements to use during the spring semester!
Managing Your Plan
You can view or manage your plan by visiting the GET Mobile website, or by downloading the GET app to your phone.
- You may purchase an unlimited plan at any time throughout the semester and the rate will be prorated to your purchase date.
- The last day to reduce a required or optional meal plan, or cancel an optional plan, is 09/06/24 for Fall and 01/24/2025 for Spring.
- The last day to increase a meal plan via GET is 11/15/2024 for Fall and 04/15/2025 for Spring. After that time, contact Dining.

2025/2026 Meal Plan Options
Meal plans are required for first-year students living in a residence hall. Students can select from three meal plan options.
Five-Day Unlimited | Seven-Day Unlimited | 220-Block (Burgum, Churchill, or Dinan residents only)
Unlimited Access Meal Plans
Unlimited meal plans allow students to pop into our dining centers as many times as they want. Students enjoy the flexibility to grab snacks, meals, or coffee anytime the dining centers are open. Unlimited meal plans come with $50 Dining Dollars which can be used at any on-campus dining location, including Starbucks, Caribou, Chick-fil-A, and Panda Express.
Seven-day Meal Plan
Monday - Sunday | 7 guest passes | 2 to-go meals/day | $50 Dining Dollars
The seven-day meal plan is the default plan for first-year students living in a residence hall; students will be automatically enrolled in this plan.
Five-day Meal Plan
Monday - Friday | 3 guest passes | 2 to-go meals/day| $50 Dining Dollars
Unused guest passes and Dining Dollars expire on the last day of each semester. Plans auto-renew for the spring semester.
220-Block Meal Plan
First-year students living in Burgum, Churchill, or Dinan Hall may select one of the unlimited access meal plans or the 220-block meal plan. This plan provides students with 220 meal swipes per semester that can be used at seven on-campus locations, including: West Dining Center, Residence Dining Center, Union Market, Minard Coffee Shop Proudly Serving Starbucks, Barry Hall, Twisted Taco, and Burgers at the U.
This plan also includes $150 Dining Dollars which have a dollar-for-dollar value and can be used at all on-campus dining locations, including Starbucks, Caribou, Chick-fil-A and Panda Express.
220-Block/semester Meal Plan
Monday – Sunday | Dine-in or Takeout | $150 Dining Dollars
Unused meal swipes and Dining Dollars expire on the last day of each semester.
Managing your Plan
All first-year students living in a residence hall will automatically be enrolled in the 7-day unlimited access meal plan. Students may change their meal plan during their in-person summer orientation session, or online via GET beginning June 9, 2025. Meal plan changes can be made through the 8th business day of each semester.

- Are you an NDSCS Fargo student? NDSCS students living on campus in NDSU residence halls will get a meal plan during the room assignment process. To view your meal plan, visit your housing portal; to manage your plan, access GET Mobile. NDSCS Fargo students who live off campus may purchase a dining meal block plan via Marketplace and will be able to manage it through the GET Mobile.
- A first-year student is an individual who received a high school diploma in January 2024 or later. PSEO or Advanced Placement credits are not considered when determining first-year status.
- If you are a first-year student who is living off campus, you may select a meal plan from our upper-level meal plan options. Please email Dining to purchase your plan. If you are a tri-college student who lives off-campus, you may purchase a block meal plan via NDSU Marketplace.
