Karan has graduated from the Delhi Technological University, New Delhi, India in 2016 with a major in Polymers and Chemical Technology. He also worked in coating industries on polyesters and alkyd resins. he is currently a graduate researcher in Quadir group where his research is focused on the development of antibacterial polymers and coatings.
Priyanka Ray is a Ph.D. in nanochemistry from Université Paris XI, CNRS, France. Her thesis was entitled 'Calixarenes and Nanoparticles: Synthesis, Properties and Applications' , for which she has synthesized calixarenes and calixarene stabilised noble metal nanoparticles and characterized the constructs using different physical and chemical characterization techniques and has also studied the antibacterial properties of Silver nanoparticles on different bacteria. She was a part of the ECOS Nord research scholar exchange programme during which she worked at IPCYT in San Luis Potosi, Mexico on computational modelling of her systems. Priyanka completed her Integrated Masters in Industrial Chemistry at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, India where she has worked in various research groups in the fields of organic chemistry and biochemistry. During her undergraduate and master studies she has worked as a research intern in organometallic chemistry in the Marek group at Technion, Haifa, Israel and in bio-organic chemistry at the Université Joseph Fourier in Grenoble.
Ruvi Chitemere is a graduate student in Coatings and Polymeric Materials working in Quadir group since January 2016. Before joining North Dakota State University, Ruvi received her undergraduate education in Chemistry from Minnesota State University, Moorhead in 2011. Ruvi worked for Sanford Health, one of the leading medical institutes operating in the upper Midwest for more than three years. She was a 2010 participant in the Summer Undergraduate Research Experience program offered by the Coatings and Polymeric Materials of NDSU, and also the winner of society for coating fellowship. Ruvi’s research is focused on generating biobased medical coatings and responsive soft materials and biomimetic scaffolds.
Raj is supervised by Dr. Long Jiang and Dr. Mohi Quadir towards his Ph.D. He has started in Quadir group in 2018. As a physicist by training, Raj's primary interest is in the area of biosensors for early detection of diseases and amplifying readouts of disease microenvironment.
