Aeliopsis Bergevin, 1931

Aeliopsis Bergevin, 1931: 77.

Type Species: Aeliopsis bucculata Bergevin, 1931, by monotypy.

Tribal Placement: Superficially, this genus appears to be quite different from other Aeliini genera, but all known workers have treated it as a member of the Aeliini. Bergevin (1931) indicated that this genus had some affinities to the genus Aelia. Stichel (1961, 1962) catalogued the genus between Aelia and Neottiglossa, both members of the Aeliini. And Carapezza (1997) listed this genus in the Aeliini.

Included Species:
bucculata Bergevin, 1931

Comments: This genus is presently monotypic, the only known species, bucculata, known from Algeria and Tunisia.
